Do you need help with Accuplacer reading? The Accuplacer test of reading has 20 questions. There are ten reading comprehension questions, followed by ten sentence relationship questions.
The reading comprehension questions on the first part of the Accuplacer test consist of a reading passage, which is followed by a question about some aspect of the passage.
Reading comprehension questions on this part of the Accuplacer may ask you about the main idea of the passage, about a specific detail contained in the passage, or about what is implied or can be concluded from the passage.
You may also see questions asking you about the author's attitude or purpose on this part of the Accuplacer test of reading.
For the sentence relationship part of the reading test, you will see two sentences for each question. You will then be asked what relationship exists between the second sentence and the first sentence.
For instance, the second sentence may give a solution to the problem that is stated in the first sentence. Alternatively, the second sentence may give an example that either supports or contradicts what is stated in the first sentence. There might also be a cause-and-effect relationship between the two sentences on this part of the reading test.
Normally the Accuplacer reading test is not timed, so take your time and answer the questions thoroughly and carefully.
